Diathermy thread vein removal is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that uses a small electrical current to heat and seal off broken capillaries (thread veins) close to the surface of the skin. The treated vein collapses and is naturally reabsorbed by the body, reducing its appearance.

Diathermy is particularly suitable for smaller, superficial veinst hat require precise treatment.

Diathermy is commonly used to treat thread veins and broken capillaries on the:

• Face (especially cheeks and around the nose)
• Chest

It is particularly effective for small, superficial red veins.

Most clients describe the sensation as a mild stinging or warming feeling. The discomfort is minimal and very brief. No anaesthetic is usually required, and treatment sessions are typically quick.

The number of sessions required depends on:

• The size and number of veins
• The area being treated
• Your individual skin response

Some clients see significant improvement after one session, while others may need 2–3 treatments for optimal results.
