With any treatment, we understand there will to be questions you’d like to ask, thats why we have put together a list of the most commonly asked questions about our semi permanent make up treatments.

However feel free to contact us if you’d like to talk before booking an consultation or appointment.

What is semi permanent makeup? 2024-04-03T19:23:09+01:00

Semi permanent make up is a non-surgical method of implanting pigments into shallow, dermal layers of the skin to create or enhance a cosmetic appearance.

How long will it last? 2024-04-03T19:23:35+01:00

Semi permanent make up usually lasts between 1 to 3 years, depending on your age, skin type and the main factor, exposure to UV rays from the sun or tanning beds. A top up is suggested every 6 to 12 months to keep your make up looking fresh.

Does it hurt? 2024-04-03T19:23:56+01:00

With the help of topical anaesthetics there is minimal discomfort. Some clients feel nothing more than a prickly sensation.

Is it safe? 2024-04-03T19:24:18+01:00

Yes, it’s totally safe. The highest standards of hygiene are met. The use of a state of the art digital technology system excludes any risks of contra-infection. The pigments are non-allergenic, dermatologically safe and meet strict European medical standards.

Is there anything I need to do before my appointment? 2024-04-03T19:24:39+01:00

It’s important that your skin is healthy and not compromised before your treatment so the following is advised:

  • Do not take aspirin or anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen 2 days prior to your semi-permanent makeup appointment.
  • Do not discontinue any medication before consulting your doctor.
  • Do not drink alcohol 2 days before your enhancement.
  • Do not use 1% Retin A skincare products close to the area to be treated for 6 weeks prior to your procedure.
  • Do not use AHA skincare products close to the area to be treated for 4 weeks before your procedure.
  • Avoid professional chemical peels close to the procedure site for 6 weeks prior to your procedure.
What will it look like after my treatment? 2024-04-03T19:25:00+01:00

After the treatment the colour will look slightly darker initially but will lighten down to the desired shade within 5-7 days

Is there anything I need to do after? 2024-04-03T19:25:38+01:00

Aftercare is discussed following your treatment. General advice is to keep the areas dry, avoid applying creams unless advised and avoid sun exposure.
