1. Genetics
Some people naturally have weaker or more visible small blood vessels, so they dilate more easily.
  2. Sun damage
UV exposure weakens the skin and vessel walls over time, making the capillaries expand and stay visible.
  3. Skin flushing
Frequent flushing from heat, alcohol, spicy foods, or emotions repeatedly expands the vessels until they stop shrinking back.
  4. Skin conditions
Conditions like Rosacea often cause persistent dilation of facial capillaries.
  5. Thin or aging skin
As skin loses collagen with age, vessels underneath become easier to see.
  6. Environmental factors
Wind, cold weather, and temperature changes can repeatedly stress the tiny blood vessels.

Thread veins, also known as spider veins or broken capillaries, are small visible blood vessels that commonly appear on the face, although harmless, many people choose to have them removed for cosmetic reasons.
