Supporting dry, dehydrated, sensitive & compromised skin this Autumn

As we move into autumn and the temperature begins to drop, you may start to notice your skin behaving differently.

Colder weather, wind, lower humidity and the return of central heating can all contribute to increased moisture loss from the skin. Skin that felt comfortable throughout the summer may suddenly begin to feel drier, tighter, dehydrated, sensitive or more reactive.

What is the Barrier Repair Facial?

The Barrier Repair Facial is designed for skin that needs hydration, barrier support and a gentler approach. Rather than immediately reaching for stronger active ingredients or more intensive treatments.

Using carefully selected Teoxane professional skincare, alongside cold plasma and LED light therapy. The treatment is adapted to the condition of your skin. The treatment may be suitable if your skin is feeling dry or dehydrated, tight or uncomfortable, more sensitive than usual, reactive, dull or simply not quite like itself as the seasons change.

Why does the Skin Barrier Matter?

Your skin barrier helps to retain moisture while protecting the skin from the outside environment.

Changes in temperature and humidity, central heating, over-exfoliation, strong active skincare, hormonal changes and repeated treatments can all affect how well that barrier is functioning.  When the skin is already struggling, doing more isn’t necessarily better.

Sometimes the priority needs to be restoring hydration and supporting the skin before we think about progressing onto treatments such as chemical peels or microneedling.
